The Chrysler commercial was a bit over the top if you've ever lived in the Detroit area. Saving a few jobs in a city decimated over the last three decades is laudable but half time does not quite describe where they are at this point in time. Perhaps the optimistic view is that Detroit is "in the game" and just received the opening kick-off. In any game the score begins 0 to 0 and the next 60 minutes of play is open for each team to win or lose. Detroit has a fighting chance and has every opportunity to succeed if they change their game plan. Since the 60's the plan they followed and helped provided by corporations, county, state and federal governments did not do the trick. Detroit needed a reset and they have it. Detroit's new game is now underway and I hope they change their game plan so that when halftime really does appear the nation can see a shining example of people who have changed for the better.
